Condensate reheating of main condenser effluent with exhaust steam can be used to increase cycle efficiency. This may be accomplished through the use of main turbine exhaust steam; under certain circumstances, this may be accomplished through the use of a Separate Reheating Hotwell that utilizes the exhaust steam from a turbine driving a plant auxiliary. The physical requirements for both of these condensate reheating methods are considered, and their effect on operating in conjunction with multipressure condensers are evaluated and assessed. Separate Reheating Hotwells operating in conjunction with single pressure condensers are investigated too.
